It’s a sweet life for twin actors Cole and Dylan Sprouse, who play two characters on the popular Disney television show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The show takes place in Boston, where their mother is the nightclub singer at a hotel named the Tipton. She sings there, they live there, and the two boys cause mayhem every episode for the hotel manager, Mr. Moseby. They order room service, get their underwear dry cleaned, break things in the lobby roller blading or riding their bikes indoors and often run up a bill on other damages they cause. All of the main characters eventually fall into the twin’s daily mishaps, one being the daughter of the hotel owner, the heiress to the Tipton fortune, a young, naive, sometimes down right dumb which equals hilarity, 16 year old girl named London. Now doesn’t the sound familiar, London Tipton? Hmmm? A famous city for the first name and a few letter changes to the last, but no sex video…yet. Then there is Maddie, the hotel candy counter girl who on occasion baby-sits the two troublemakers. These characters are a perfect blend for disaster and comedy.
Being a Disney show it is aimed for children ages 5-13 and I’m not going to fool you out of my own opinion of the show, I enjoyed it. It was silly but entertaining with quick, witty humor, not bad for a children’s show. Little girls love this show, I know my younger sisters do and they each like either Zach or Cody calling them their “boyfriends”. They are cute, Cole and Dylan Sprouse, and good characters for little mischievous kids to watch. At the end of every show the boys realize what they did or tried to do was wrong, but it isn’t cheesy like “the moral of the story is…” No, they learn their lesson; their I Love Lucy plan to get what they want just didn’t turn out. Nevertheless, they manage to keep up the hard work every episode with new scenarios to get in and out of quick before they are caught.
